Travel Misadventures
I travel a lot in my job as a software trainer, and I love it! I've been fortunate to visit incredible places and to meet incredible people. I have always lived an "I Love Lucy" life, however. In other words, I have travel adventures that Lucy Ricardo would have, not Audrey Hepburn. Gregory Peck might invite me to zip around Rome with him on his Vespa scooter, but I would most likely trip into the Fontana di Trevi trying to settle in behind him. If it's outrageously out-of-the-ordinary, I've probably experienced it, so I decided it would be a good exercise in creative writing to compose essays on the craziest travel-related adventures I've had. The irony is that almost every trip I take ends up being a crazy one in some way or another. Oh well, if you can't laugh at life, what's the point, right? Enjoy! |
